Recommended for Raynaud’s
Essential oils are useful for warming the body as well as for circulation. Recommended oils for warming include Nutmeg, Mace, Clove, Black Pepper, Geranium, Palmarosa, Lavender, Fennel and Rosemary. Myrtle, Lemon and Cypress have been used to strengthen and dilate capillaries and increase circulation. Helichrysum, Clove and citrus oils are natural blood thinners, balancing the viscosity or thickness of the blood, and they amplify the effects of Cypress. Marjoram relaxes muscles and dilates blood vessels, while nutmeg acts as a circulatory stimulant and anti-inflammatory. Goldenrod is a vein decongestant.
Treatment for Warming:
For warming, the recommended treatment is a two-part regime of baths and massage, using two formulas on alternate weeks. For the first week: FORMULA 1 BLEND consists of: Nutmeg 15 drops; Lavender 5 drops; Geranium 10 drops. Make a blend using these proportions or add these amounts to 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil for a massage oil. Bathe twice a day in the morning and evening (before bed) using 6-8 drops of the blend. The water should be hot but not uncomfortable. Massage your fingers and toes. Add 5 drops blend to each tablespoon of vegetable oil to make a massage oil and apply it all over your body except your face.
Get your partner or a friend to massage your back for you. Pay special attention to your toes and fingers as well as arms, legs, bottom, tummy, chest, and shoulders. Do this daily. During an attack, use the massage oil as often as you like and double up on the fingers and toes.
FORMULA 2 BLEND consists of: Black Pepper 10 drops; Geranium 10 drops; Nutmeg 10 drops. The second formula is used alternatively with Formula 1 until the condition eases off and relief is obtained. Use exactly as directed above for one week, in the bath and as a massage oil.
Treatment for Circulation:
Single oils used for this application include: Goldenrod, Helichrysum, Marjoram, Cypress, Myrtle, Orange, Grapefruit, Clove, Peppermint, Geranium, Nutmeg, Cistus, and Lemongrass.
For topical application, dilute 50-50, 2-4 drops on affected area 2-3 times daily. Also apply over carotid arteries and pulse points, wherever arteries are close to the skin surface. For a body massage, apply 2-3 times weekly, starting at the feet and working up to the heart.
FORMULA 1 BLEND consists of: Basil, 5 drops; Marjoram 8 drops; Cypress 10 drops; Peppermint 3 drops
FORMULA 2 BLEND consists of: Basil 3 drops; Peppermint 2 drops; Cypress 4 drops; Marjoram 8 drops; Wintergreen 10 drops
Dilute either of the above recipes in 1 tsp. pure fatty oil (i.e. olive or jojoba) and massage on location, one to three times daily.
You will mix up 3 different blends for this healing process:
Apply throughout the day or use one blend throughput one day: What feels the best to you is what will work.
30 Drops Peppermint
30 Drops wintergreen
30 drops frankincense
30 drops eucalyptus
30 drops cypress
Dilute in a carrier oil and apply as needed. This will make a huge supply so cut it back to 2 drops each to try. ( I might even add helichrysum (everlasting flower shown below) for re-connection of nerve damage)
3 drops of Oregano
3 drops clove
Dilute with carrier oil and apply to bottom of feet 2 times daily
Be careful with Oregano it can burn. It is also good for killing fungal invasions of the the skin. But do apply neat ever or you will burn yourself.
2 drops Juniper
2 drops peppermint
2 drops rosemary
Dilute and apply directly to affected area as needed
Random thought here: Just surfing about looking up helichrysum I stumbled across a web site that claimed the hospitals in France use helichrysum to heal the nerves in the ear and have reconnected the nerves and in cases where the person was even born deaf was starting to hear. I will search fr that information again and when found provide a link to it.

I found flip flops in February in our mountain town! And they were on sale! How great is that? This is a winter white yarn so it shows the sc2tog areas of the pattern more than a darker yarn might. If you want to make up your own winter flip flip cabin boot go to MakeandDoCrew.com watch the video, get the pattern and wear your boots!
I'll be looking for more great patterns to recommend this weekend! In the meantime have fun making your cabin boots!
We have had "Emergency February 2017"
This year our Australian Shepherds eye turned cloudy and started swelling. Trips to the vet and off to Denver for an emergency eye exam; the conclusion is Glaucoma.
So whether or not it will help, In addition to the medications from her growing list of Doctors, we are trying a diffuser.
She has been on her medications and eye drops for a week now and there is some improvement but she is not 100%
Update Oct 19 2017
She has lost the eye completely. Nothing helped.
Sad to say and sad to report but her offspring is now showing signs of the same problem with her eyesight. I have no solution.

My 1st attempt at a button up messy bun hat from Make and Do Crew. I made mistakes but the colors are just crazy! I love it and will try it again.
This is also my first post and attempt at my blog. I am next attempting the link to the page for the Make and Do Crew.
So I hope I've done it right and you can visit this awsome pattern page. makeanddocrew.com/cabled-crochet-bun-beanie-free-pattern/
This is the messy bun buttoned up and ready to slide on or unbutton and carefully wrap a perfect messy bun. I am going to try this pattern again today with the same weight of yarn and with the advice of the Make and Do Crew to increase in multiples of 4 to make it big enough for my head. This one only took me an afternoon watching a movies series, about 3 hours from start to finish with all the interruptions of the dog going in and out, the cats stealing the project and hiding it under the bed when I was off for more tea.
So if all works as planned. I will have a messy bun for myself! I can't wait!
This hat is also for sale since it doesn't fit. I'd like to get my yarn cost back out of it and you can pick it up at the Lake House in Buena Vista, Colorado for $21.00
Hi I'm Debi, if it is crochet, pets, gardening, essential oils, living rural, and DIY projects I'm trying it. Essential Oils have been proving to be Essential indeed!
The most impressive healing I saw first hand was my mothers varicose veins. Actually DVT as it hung from the back of her knee like a softball. With the varicose veins blend I will publish she barely has a bump where it once was.
So for all my friends and family, as you ask questions I will try to remember to post.
